These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GVO Security's compliance automation platform and related services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

GVO Security provides AI-powered compliance automation software and professional services to help companies achieve and maintain security and compliance certifications including but not limited to SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.

2. Account Registration

To use our Services, you must:

• Create an account with accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
• Be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the Services to transmit malware or malicious code
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

4. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services are owned by GVO Security and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use our Services for your internal compliance needs.

5. Data Ownership and Use

• Your Data: You retain ownership of all data you upload to our platform
• Our Use: We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our Services
• Confidentiality: We maintain strict confidentiality of your compliance data

6. Payment Terms

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You agree to:

• Provide accurate billing information
• Pay all fees when due
• Accept automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Acknowledge that refunds are provided at our discretion

7. Service Level and Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our Services. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance. We are not liable for downtime due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

Our Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we assist with compliance efforts, we do not guarantee certification outcomes as these depend on many factors including your implementation and auditor decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GVO Security shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold GVO Security harmless from claims arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms with 30 days' written notice. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where GVO Security is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
